Helen Elizabeth Secomb
Birth: Jul. 13, 1833 Amherst
Death: Jun. 27, 1861 Mont VernonDEATHS - In Mont Vernon, 26th ult., Mrs. Helen, wife of Mr. Jesse O. Robinson, and only daughter of Capt. Levi J. Secomb, of this town, aged 27. Thus early has passed away one of our most estimable and valuable young women. Though long enfeebled by disease, she possessed with native force of character, much cultivation of intellect, and a kindly disposition which endeared her greatly to all who knew her. Two little children, one an infant, are thus left motherless to meet the changes of life, but in faith they were committed to Him who had been the mother's comfort in life, and who was her support and solace in death. The church Sabbath School, home, and friends, bear witness in their sorrow to her worth and their appreciation of the loss they suffer in her removal. [The Farmers' Cabinet, 5 Jul 1861, page 3]
