Charles Wiswall Robinson. Born in Marlborough (in the house just above the farm) on June 6, 1922. When he was about 2yrs of age (so Gramp Rob related to me) he acquired asthma, and suffered from it badly all his young life. Somewhere along the line it eased and I don't think it bothers him anymore! Because we lived at the top of the hill on Terrace St, Chuck had to rest often on the way home. He had bright red hair, much like Mother's when she was young. Lonnie, Margaret, and Chuck all worked at Minnewawa Label Factory in Marlborough. Lonnie the only one who stayed as a card-cutter and designer, and eventually was sent to Germany to study same. Chuck went into the army as an M.P (Military Police) restricted service, because of his asthma, in (40-41?). He went overseas, and was in the invasion of Normandy on June 6 (his birthday) in 1944. He came out of the service in ( ), came back home, and worked on the state roads for Dad. Finally went to Washington D.C. and worked in the Dept. of Soils where Uncle Will worked. He then decided to go to Logan Utah and go to College. He had previously spent time at Tilton at a college there. He met Elayne, and Married her in ( ). She had three children by a former marriage. Chuck adopted these three, and he and Elayne had one of their own, Jan. They moved to Grand Junction, where Chuck worked for the St. of Colorado (Agriculture). He then moved to Ft. Collins and taught in College there, and it involved testing and field work for the state. He retired from there and moved back to Grand Junction, where he now lives.
