[the following short biogarphy was written by Anna Elizabeth Lynch (Robinson)]
Born on June 8, 1924 in the house on Terrace St. in Marlborough. Went through twelve grades in Marlborough, graduating in 1942. Mother said I had to either go to work or go to Keene Teachers College. I got into KTC (now KSC) in '42, graduated in '46 with a Bachelor of Education degree to teach. Keene only turned out teachers in those days, before liberal arts were introduced. I was hired to teach in Laconia, N.H. along with six other schoolmates of mine. My first year's salary was $2100. That was top salary that year! I taught 5th grade the first year, then followed the same students into sixth grade the second year. The third year I was switched to Harvard St. School.
I met Dick in 1948 and we were married on May 28, 1949. I never taught school full time after that, but I did sub at Wheelock Elementary after the 4 kids were all in school.
